  武汉理工大学物流工程学院是培养港口机械装备、物流工程、物流管理等方面的高级专门人才 ,并从事机械与物流领域教学与科学研究的特色学院。

  学院具有60多年的办学历史,是全国率先建立物流学科的高校之一。通过 211工程”和“国家重点学科”的建设,现已建立了独具特色的学科优势和良好的行业支持环境,为国家特别是交通港口行业培养了大批优秀人才。

  学院现设有“机械设计制造及其自动化”、“物流工程”和“物流管理”三个本科专业。具有“机械设计与理论”、“机械制造及其自动化”、“机械电子工程”、“物流工程”和“物流管理”五个硕士学位和博士学位授权点,“机械工程”一级博士学位授权点和博士后流动站,其中机械制造及其自动化学科为国家重点学科,机械设计与理论学科为交通部重点学科。目前在读本科生1668人,硕士研究生331人,博士研究生39人。

  学院下设港口机械工程系、物流自动化系、物流管理系和机械设计与制造系等4个系和实验中心、港口物流研究中心等两个中心。现有教职员工124人,其中教授20人(含博导9人)、副高职称48人,并有国家级专家1人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴4人、国家千人计划青年人才1人、省级专家2人。

  学院拥有港口装卸技术交通行业重点实验室、港口物流技术与装备教育部工程研究中心、武汉港口机械质量监督检验测试中心、武汉新港研究院等研究基地、图书馆和《港口装卸》杂志社。学院图书馆现有面积210平方米,图书资料馆藏文献量近8千册,专业杂志期刊2086册,并藏有历届博士、硕士、本科生毕业论文。

  学院长期坚持依托港口行业优势、新老专业和学科优势互补并以全面为港口服务为基点快速拓展物流领域的办学指导思想,具有独立承担港口装卸机械产品研发、港口物流关键技术研究、物流装备自动化及智能控制、物流仓储机械系统设计、物联网与物流信息化、物流系统规划与仿真、机器人技术、现代物流与供应链技术研究等方面科研任务的能力。

 

  The School of Logistics Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology is a unique engineering college devoted to cultivate high-level professional talents in the area of Port Mechanical Equipment, Logistics Engineering and Logistics Management. The school also undertakesteaching and scientific researches in the area of Machinery and Logistics.

  The School of Logistics Engineering was founded more than 60 years ago, which is one the earliest universities to provide the degree of Logistics Engineering in the whole country. Through the construction of "National 211 project" and "National Key Discipline project", it formed academic advantages with unique features and favorable support environment from industries. The school has cultivated a large number of excellent talents forthe country, especially the port and communication industries.

  The school has three undergraduate programs: "Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation", "Logistics Engineering" and "Logistics Management".The school has been authorized to award both Master and PhD degrees in following five disciplines:"Mechanical Design and Theory", "Mechanical Manufacture and Automation", "Mechatronic Engineering", "Logistics Engineering" and "Logistics Management". Among these programs, "Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation" is recognized as National key Discipline by the Ministry of Education and "Mechanical Design and Theory" is approved as "Key Discipline" by Ministry of Communication. Other than that, "Mechanical Engineering" is a national level one disciplines to be authorized to award PhD degree with a Postdoctoral Research Station being attached to it. At present, there are 1668 undergraduate, 331 postgraduate and 39 doctoral graduate students in the school.

  The school consists of four departments and two centers. These departments are:

  Department of Port Machinery Engineering, Department of Logistics Automation, Department of Logistics Management and Department of Mechanical Design & Manufacturing. Thesecenters are :Experimental Center and Port Logistics Research Center. Currently, there are 124 faculties in the school, which includes 20 professors (9 PhD supervisors) and 48 associate professors. One of our professors has been recognized as national expert. Four of professors have received special subsidy awarded by the State Council. One of our professors has been recognized as National thousands of people plan young talentandtwo of our professors have been recognized as Outstanding Experts in Hubei province.

  The school has Key lab of Port Handling Technology in the Communication Industries, Engineering Research Center of Port Logistics Technology and Equipment of Ministry of Education, Wuhan Quality Supervision and Testing Center for Port Machine, Professional Library and Journal of Port Handling. The school also has a professional library with 210 m2, which includes 8000 volumes of books/documents, 2086 professional journals and all copies of dissertations from its PhD/Master/Bachelor students.

  The school has independent development and research abilities to make creations and innovations in the area of port material handling machinery, key technology research of port logistics, logistics equipment automation and intelligent control, mechanical logistics storage system design, internet of thing and logistics information, logistics system planning and simulation, robotics, modern logistics-supported SCM technologies, and so on.
